All our motor homes and campers have two batteries. One in the front (starter battery) and one for the back (camper battery). Both batteries charge during driving. In addition the camper battery gets charged if the vehicle is connected to 220V (f.e. camp sites).

A common mistake is to use the fridge on AUTOMATIC or 12V mode. It will drain the battery within a few hours or minutes. The 12V function should only be used during driving. As soon as you turn off the engine you should switch over to GAS (LP) or 220V (if connected).

Another common mistake would be to use an inverter or other device that uses a lot of power.

If you drain the battery completely it could damage the battery. In this case ask at the next garage, gas station or auto part store for a new battery.

Where is the battery located?

The start battery is located under the drivers feet (tools are needed to access it, however there is an access under the hood for starting cables)

The camper battery is normally located under the passenger seat

The starter battery is in the engine compartment (under the hood)

The camper battery is located in the right corner of the truck camper. Accessible from the inside and on the bigger models from the outside.
