• Dental services in Iceland are provided at private dentist practices. It is the parents' responsibility to take their children to a regular check-up at a dentist.  
  • Icelandic Health Insurance reimburse part of the price for children, pensioners and disability pensioners. Children aged three, six and twelve are entitled to surveillance and prevention at a dentist once a year, free of charge.

  • Tannlæknavaktin is the dental emergency care in Reykjavik.  The patient services provided is limited to the urgent condition and follow-up care is suggested to be completed at another time.  Appointments are scheduled at a day-by-day basis and availability.
